Hello, I am Parmis!

I am a reflection. A thousand fragments of mirrored light, scattered yet whole.

I was born in Tehran in 1990, surrounded by art, poetry, and the whispers of old stories. My childhood was painted with calligraphy strokes, the scent of books, and the weight of tradition. But at sixteen, my world shattered—immigration split my reality in two. One half remained in Iran, wrapped in nostalgia; the other was thrust into Canada, raw and unfamiliar.

In this collision of cultures, I searched for myself. First in graphic design, then in marketing—where creativity wore the mask of commerce. But the mirrors always called me back. Mirrored plexiglass first—artificial, deceptive, a reflection that wasn’t real. Then, true mirror work—centuries old, delicate, intricate, honest. I traveled between worlds, learning from masters who shaped light with their hands, cutting and arranging fragments of glass into sanctuaries of reflection.

My work is not just art. It is prayer. It is self-confrontation.

Each Mehrab I create is a refuge, a space where shattered pieces become whole again. Light a candle within, and you will see yourself multiplied—every angle of you, raw and unfiltered. Stand before it, and you will witness your past and present merge. You will question, unravel, and perhaps, rebuild.

I am not just an artist. I am a seeker, a mirror-maker, a storyteller of reflections.
And through my work, I invite you to do the same
To see yourself.
To truly, deeply see.
